Log Cabin Accommodation
For over 30 years we have used Goldbottom as our home during mining season, and in 1998 we built three log cabins for you to rest in and experience the rustic life of a miner. The Family lives on-site or nearby (1 km) during the season, so there will be someone about to show you around and ensure you’re settled in.
Sleeping arrangements vary by cabin:
Cabin 1 Sleeps 4 Double bed & Single bunk beds Propane Heater

Cabin 3 Sleeps 3 Single bed & single bunk beds
Cabin 4 Sleeps 4 Queen bed & Single bunk beds Large Wood Stove
If you have your own “home on wheels” and would like to stay overnight, please talk to us when you get out to camp or contact us via the most convenient method for you.
Facilities
Cabins come equipped with everything you will need for your stay except groceries, ice and personal items.
We have a hot water shower house for our guests to use and the “facilities” are outhouses. We don’t run the generator often but we will do our best to charge your small electronic devices in case needed…
Each 12 x 14 cabin has its own wood stove (one with propane heat), a camp stove and BBQ, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, bedding, towels, basic kitchen supplies (salt/pepper, coffee/tea, sugar/whitener), lanterns, a campfire pit, a picnic table, chairs, porch, rain barrel, and camp coolers. Please remember to bring ice!
